The inn is located in Floyd County, VA and offers an idyllic mountain getaway. We are also close to many of Virginia's colleges and provide a unique alternative to hotels when visiting students at Virginia Tech and Radford University.

IF YOU ARE COMING TO MOUNTAIN SONG INN FROM:
WASHINGTON D.C. area, RICHMOND, and other points north and east of the intersection of Interstates 81 & 77 in VA:
Locate the intersection of Interstate 81 and Interstate 77 in Virginia and use this, on a Virginia map, as your initial guide point indicating our approximate location. The Inn is located in Willis, Virginia which is in Floyd County, approximately 30 minutes due east of the I-81 and I-77 intersection. We recommend that once you are in the local vicinity, in order to make your navigation simpler, you use your Trip Odometer to record the exact mileages listed below. This is especially useful once you are on Route 8.

I-81 South to exit #114 (Rt. 8) towards Floyd, travel on Rt. 8 for approx. 15 miles, make a right on Rt. 730 (Ridgeview Rd), travel approx. 6.3 miles to stop sign (intersection of Rt. 750-Alum Ridge Rd). Continue straight on Rt. 730 (name changes to Duncan Chapel Rd) for 3.2 miles, keep an eye for our sign: “Mountain Song Inn” or for a diamond-shaped yellow “School Bus Stop Ahead” sign, the very next right hand turn is Mystic Lane (Rt. 650) a gravel road.

MYSTIC LANE—travel to its end, just about one half mile, to sign: "Welcome- Mountain Song Inn". Our driveway veers off to the left, at a moderate incline. At the inn, please park head-on (to the right, facing the trees) where indicated by a parking sign.

Locate the intersection of Interstates 81 & 77 in Virginia and use this highway coordinate on a VA map as your initial guide point, indicating our approximate location. Use you TRIP ODOMETER along with the exact mileages as they are listed below.

Get to Interstate-77 in North Carolina and head north into Virginia, traveling to the intersection of Interstate 77 and Va. Rt. 221 North (Interstate 77 Exit #14). NOTE: Rts. 221/58 are the same road on the way to and in Hillsville, travel 221 north about 2.5 miles from Exit #14 to the center of Hillsville.

Once in Hillsville, travel through, staying on 221 North . You will cross Rt. 52/Main St. About a mile past Main St., 221 and 58 split; 58 continues straight at the stop light, while 221 goes off to the left .You are now heading towards Floyd on Rt. 221 North. You won't go all the way to Floyd, but you head toward it on 221.

From where 221/58 split until your next turn (onto Rt. 750/Alum Ridge Road), will be about 19 miles, you need to look on the right for a small black & white, "Rt.750" sign, pointing to the left. This sign alerts you that you are approaching Alum Ridge Road/Rt. 750, you are to make a LEFT onto Alum Ridge Road/Rt.750. Once on Alum Ridge / Rt. 750, stay on this curvy road.

Travel Alum Ridge about 4.5 miles to where it intersects Duncans Chapel Road. You are then to make a LEFT onto Duncans Chapel Rd. (Note: at this intersection, on the right, the road marker sign reads "Ridge View Rd"; i.e., Ridge View is the road to the right; Duncans Chapel is that to the left.)

Travel DUNCANS CHAPEL ROAD, 3.1–3.2 miles, and keep an eye to the RIGHT side of the road, looking for our inn's sign: "MOUNTAIN SONG INN", or for a diamond-shaped, yellow “School Bus Stop Ahead” sign. You are now at the corner of Duncans Chapel and MYSTIC LANE. (Mystic Lane goes off to the right only; not an intersection.) Make a right onto Mystic Lane (Rt. 650), a gravel road.
IF YOU ARE COMING FROM THE BLUE RIDGE PARKWAY
Heading south on the Parkway make a right (Mile Marker 174) on Conner Grove Rd (RT 799) continue 9 miles and make a right on RT 221, drive 2.2 miles and make a left on Alum Ridge Road (RT 750), drive 4.6 miles and make a left on Duncan Chapel Rd.
