MOUNTAIN SONG AMENITIES
Our principal amenities? To paraphrase, general concensus voiced to us from guests is along the lines of “A stunningly beautiful location, genuine feel-at-home warmth, lovely rooms, top-notch and creative breakfast fare...", so people tell us. We think they’re sincere. Well-appointed guest rooms that as of 2006 are essentially “new”floor to ceiling. Additionally, being near "downtown" Floyd and in the heart of the Blue Ridge Mountains, of course, adds the backdrop that seems to support the inn's intrinsic charm.
Detail: lots of little things throughout that make you realize we care about your comfort, enjoyment, and relaxation. We’re sorta rusticbut refined; an old-world “feel”, but with all the modern conveniences and appointmentslike central-air, digital dish TV in the den/library, all in a setting that, if you don’t look at the modernity of the inn, may cause you to sense you may be in a time-warp, centuries earlier. Firewood (the real thing, cut and lugged here), wild turkeys (see Photo Gallery) , fox, deer, a plethora of songbirds, hawks, crows, pileated woodpeckers (big as crows), occasional eagles, a Great Room and fireplace to burn the native wood, no noiseexcept Nature’s Own. No cars. No busy road. No voices…(unless we sit and chat a spell).
Exceptional location and quality ambience, well landscaped grounds, truly upscale breakfasts, and all associated with hosts that truly care about your making of a memory, mostly brings together Mountain Song Amenities. Throw in some real, mountain rusticity of yesteryear for good measure, and the “Amenity Package” is complete. We could list detail, after detail, after detail in attempts to try to convince you, “This is the place to be!” All that’s good; many inns do so. And there are many other Virginia Bed & Breakfast locations that are certainly “…THE place to be”, in their own right. All this is good marketing, I suppose. From our vantage point though, in what we hope isn’t overblown confidence, we trust your perusal of our website and the attentive follow-through from us you’ll experience once you book will suffice in getting you here: Once you then spend some time here, sufficient should be the occasion unto itself in describing Mountain Song Amenities. Come and enjoy.
