Most roads that meander through adjacent hills provide nearly a "view-at-every-turn" ride to the wonderfully unique town of Floyd, Virginia. Floyd is one of the purest examples of authentic mountain music character (Floyd Fest, Wine Down, Floyd Country Store Friday Night Jamboree, Pickin' Porch) and is a must-visit destination on your itinerary. Minutes from the Inn, Floyd epitomizes a little of "today" and lots of "yesterday," all uniquely blended into genuine, Blue Ridge Mountain life and character. The New River Valley, home of the nationally famous Virginia Tech Hokies and Radford University, also lies within a 30-minute scenic drive, plus the charming town of Christianburgs, VA.
Interstate 81 and Interstate 77 also are within 30 minutes of the Inn, providing "Maine / Florida" travelers an ideal, midway repose.
